South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Catering) to support the Community & Enterprise Resources team in delivering school catering across Carluke. You will prepare meals, follow recipe guidelines and maintain hygiene across storage, preparation, cooking and service areas.

The role is 20 hours per week during term time, Monday to Friday 8am–2pm, with an hourly rate of £13.80. Closing date 2026-10-21; PVG checks apply and occasional recruitment checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering and hygiene practices is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and food handling guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals within recipe guidelines and undertake hygiene work practices in relation to storage, preparation, cooking and service of food.
• Clean food production areas, equipment and utensils.
