Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Facilities Assistant (Catering) to prepare meals within recipe guidelines and maintain high hygiene standards across storage, preparation, cooking and service areas. The role is 25 hours per week, term-time, based at Cathkin High School, Cambuslang, and operates Monday to Friday with specific daily hours.

The post is temporary, with PVG Scheme checks required prior to offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering environments preferred.
• Understanding of hygiene practices and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following recipe guidelines.
• Maintain hygiene across storage, preparation, cooking and service areas.
• Clean equipment and utensils and keep production areas sanitary.
• Support service of meals during term-time schedule.
