Job summary

Wilson Vale is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join our team at an independent school in Harrogate. The role covers breakfast, lunch and supper service for around 450 people daily, with shifts from 7am–3pm or 11:30am–7:30pm, 37.5 hours per week, 5 days across 7.

This is a year-round position to support lettings and events on site. You will work with a team of 17, helping with service, hospitality and some food prep, cleaning and dishwashing when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar catering role and environment.
• Able to maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety.
• Excellent customer service and social skills.
• Responsible for preparation and serving of food to staff and pupils.
• Demonstrates a can-do attitude and works well in a team of 17.
• Willing to participate and enjoy working as part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Serve breakfast, lunch and supper service for ~450 people daily.
• Support with hospitality and events, including setup and clearing.
• Assist with food preparation and washing up as needed during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in a busy school catering environment.
