Job summary

Holroyd Howe is recruiting a General Catering Assistant in Scarborough for term-time, 32.5 hours per week from 12:00 to 19:00, Monday to Friday. You will assist in meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean kitchen area to support the catering team.

A positive, customer-focused attitude and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Experience in catering or food service is preferred, with emphasis on teamwork, time management, and flexibility to cover school hours and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, snacks, and beverages
• Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including washing dishes and utensils
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Support the catering team in food storage and stock rotation
• Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
• Assist with setting up and clearing dining areas
• Contribute to the overall smooth running of the catering service
