Job summary

Mitie is seeking a School Caretaker to deliver high service standards at Challney High School for Girls, Luton's premises. You will follow cleaning schedules, undertake required training, and adhere to Mitie's safety and environmental policies.

The role involves maintaining equipment, security, safety of the premises, responding to helpdesk requests, and performing routine PPM tasks. DBS enhanced check and references are required.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking experience preferred but not required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality; willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests and emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
