Job summary

Mitie is seeking a School Caretaker to deliver excellent service standards within educational facilities. You will maintain cleanliness, security and safety of school premises, respond to helpdesk requests, unlock/lock buildings, and perform routine maintenance checks.

The role requires reliability, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to safeguarding with an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all required training and follow Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
• Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
• Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
• Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
• Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.
