Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a School Caretaker for a welcoming primary school in the WA4 area of Warrington. The role is practical and suited to someone with common sense, a friendly personality and a hands-on approach.

You will take responsibility for day-to-day tasks that keep the school safe and running smoothly, including setting up rooms, deliveries, and basic site checks. The hours are flexible; a split shift or earlier start can be considered to suit availability.

Qualifications

• Be reliable, punctual and organised.
• Have a practical, hands-on approach.
• Be confident working independently using your initiative.
• Be willing to complete safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

• Open the school each morning and help ensure the site is ready for the school day.
• Refill toilet rolls and other essential supplies around the school.
• Put lunch tables out and assist with setting up different areas.
• Move furniture, equipment and other items around the school as required.
• Receive and organise deliveries.
• Carry out basic equipment and grounds checks.
• Put traffic safety barriers/signage out in the morning and bring them back in.
• Open and close gates for parents at various points throughout the day.
• Help with general maintenance and site-related tasks as needed.
• Support the school with practical jobs that arise during the day.
