Ceredigion County Council is seeking a reliable School Caretaker to ensure school premises and grounds are safe, secure and well maintained. The role supports day-to-day school operations in line with safeguarding requirements.

Flexible hours with on-site presence during school hours and occasional emergencies. DBS check required; previous caretaking or facilities experience is desirable and beneficial to the team.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain site security, including locking/unlocking premises, alarm systems, and keyholder duties.
• Carry out daily safety checks and report hazards or concerns.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs, and monitor heating and facilities systems.
• Support cleanliness and environmental standards, including waste management and outdoor upkeep.
• Undertake porterage duties such as moving equipment and supporting room setups.
• Complete required logs and follow school procedures.
• Promote and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
