Job summary

Educate Group is seeking a hands-on Caretaker to join a friendly primary school in Flintshire. You will help keep the school safe, secure and running smoothly, with a focus on practical site tasks and teamwork.

Responsibilities include security checks, minor repairs, supporting cleaning teams, handling deliveries and waste, and maintaining a welcoming school environment. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking or equivalent experience (desirable).
• No formal qualifications required.
• Goo attitude, reliability and a willingness to learn
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Health & safety awareness and the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the security of the school premises (including key-holder responsibilities and alarm checks).
• Carrying out minor repairs and handy person duties (e.g. painting, small improvements, fitting shelves etc)
• Supporting the cleaning team and general site duties
• Managing deliveries, waste and recycling, and keeping the school well presented
• Working as part of a team and supporting the smooth running of the school
