Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking a dependable School Caretaker in Leicester on a temporary basis, earning £13.01 per hour for 40 hours a week. Flexible hours may apply beyond standard 08:30-16:30 as training progresses. Prior caretaking or maintenance experience, especially in schools, is preferred.

DBS check or Update Service is desirable to start. The role involves routine maintenance, cleaning, safety inspections, and overseeing outdoor spaces such as gardens, playgrounds, and sports fields.

Qualifications

• Experience in caretaking or maintenance, preferably in a school or educational setting.
• DBS clearance preferred or willing to undertake a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance to keep school facilities in good condition.
• Oversee cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways and common areas to ensure hygiene.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards as needed.
• Maintain outdoor spaces including gardens, playgrounds and sports fields.
