Job description

Hays Education is working with a number of schools based in Derby who are looking for a Caretaker to start as soon as possible. The position will be from Monday to Friday, but the hours may vary from school to school. The roles will initially be on a temporary basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities will include:

1. General grounds and building maintenance
2. Minor repair work, such as changing light bulbs
3. Ensuring heating, lighting, and alarm systems are operational
4. Managing building keys – locking and unlocking as required

Requirements:

1. Experience in managing premises or maintenance, ideally in a school setting
2. Possession of an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
3. Reliability, resilience, and a hardworking attitude
