School Caretaker

Build Recruitment are currently looking to recruit a Caretaker for our Client based in the Sheffield area.

The successful post-holder will be responsible for the day to day maintenance, operational running and security / supervision of the site and related equipment.

Please Note: You will be working through the holiday period and out of term.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out building fabric repairs, adjustments maintenance, installations and removals.
2. Undertake and record weekly checks and record works carried out.
3. Ensure all maintenance work is completed on time and to Health and Safety standards.
4. Ensuring the Site Security, unlocking and locking all the doors entries and exits - ensuring the site is secure but accessible at all times.
5. Liaising with and monitoring the work of contractors including cleaner contractors.
6. Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, customers and clients.
7. Reporting any incident that may adversely affect service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

1. Previous experience in similar facility management and/or caretaking role.
2. Must work well as part of a team.
3. Able to attend regular appraisals and agree personal development programme in accordance with the job requirements.
4. Able to plan and prioritise workloads to achieve objectives.
5. Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
6. Flexibility to assess and tackle a wide range of disciplines within skill sets.
7. You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to go through a new one.
