Job summary

Isle of Man Government is seeking a dedicated Caretaker for Meadow Campus, co-located with Scoill Vallajeelt and St. Thomas’ CE Primary School. You will lead the caretaking and cleaning team, maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards, and oversee site security to ensure a safe environment for pupils and staff.

You’ll manage a busy, varied campus, using strong organisational and people skills. Independent work, problem solving and pride in a job well done are valued traits for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in school or building caretaking preferred.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to liaise with staff and external contacts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead caretaking and cleaning team to maintain high standards.
• Oversee security and ensure premises remain safe for pupils and staff.
• Carry out routine and minor maintenance tasks as required.
• Support flexible working patterns and respond to incidents as needed.
