Job summary

Aspens Services is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. We are looking for a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen with basic food preparation and to deliver excellent service during the lunchtime rush.

You will handle customer interaction on tills during service (training provided), provide friendly front-line service to students and staff, and assist with basic food preparation while maintaining a safe, clean kitchen aligned with Health and Safety standards.

Qualifications

• Team player capable of thriving in a busy kitchen.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices; Food Hygiene Level 2 helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction on tills during service (training provided).
• Front-line service: friendly, polite customer service to students and staff.
• Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining a safe, clean kitchen environment and health and safety compliance.
