Job summary

Aspens Services, a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food, is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen during lunchtimes and provide excellent service to students and staff.

You will assist with basic food preparation and maintain a safe, clean kitchen in line with health and safety standards. Training is provided and prior catering experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Team player and thrives in a busy team environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is advantageous but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (full training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and Health & Safety compliance.
