Job summary

Aspens Services is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. We are looking for a Catering Assistant to support our kitchen in basic food preparation and deliver excellent service during the lunch service.

You’ll work on the tills, provide friendly service to students and staff, assist with food prep, and help maintain a safe, clean kitchen in line with Health and Safety standards. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction: working on the tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-line service: providing friendly, polite service to all students and staff.
• Essential support: assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining standards: ensuring a safe, clean kitchen and health and safety compliance.
