Job summary

The Education Authority (EA) invites applications for a part-time Catering Assistant role at St John the Baptist College, Portadown, Armagh/Craigavon. You will support daily catering operations, assist with food prep and service, and help promote meals to pupils and parents.

This 25 hours per week post offers a retainer fee during school holidays. Applicants should have good communication, team-working skills and the ability to work under pressure in a school environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills to support team work and customer service.

• Good organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages including vegetables and snacks.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points and transferring meals.
• Serving meals and promoting meals to pupils and parents.
• Maintain dining area and cleanliness of kitchen and dining spaces.
• Record temperatures for control purposes and maintain premises security.
