Job summary

Responsibilities include basic food preparation, simple cooking, serving meals, maintaining dining areas, and ensuring compliance with health and safety codes.

Responsibilities

• Basic preparation of food and beverages and vegetables using appropriate equipment.
• Simple cooking and reconstitution of prepared food.
• Organising and controlling food service points and serving meals and snacks.
• Assisting with promotion of meals to pupils, parents and staff.
• Maintaining contact with the central kitchen regarding service delivery.
• Preparing dining areas and setting tables, cutlery and serving points.
• Carrying out kitchen and dining room duties including washing up and cleaning.
• Recording temperatures for control and securing premises as required.
• Completing duties in compliance with legislation, codes of practice and school values.
