Sodexo Group at Thomas Johnson School, Lidlington (Bedford) is hiring a General Assistant. Pay is £12.71 per hour, 10 hours per week, Monday–Friday, Term Time Only – 39 weeks, Permanent, Part Time. Join a team delivering high-quality food and service in a welcoming environment.

You will support daily food service, keep kitchens and dining areas clean, and ensure hygiene and safety standards. Full training provided.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable attitude.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks.
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required.
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors.
