Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a General Assistant at Thomas Johnson School to help run a busy food service operation. You will assist with food preparation and service, keep kitchens and dining areas clean, and contribute to a welcoming, high-quality dining experience for students and staff.

The role offers full training, a supportive team, and opportunities to grow. You’ll work 39 weeks per year with steady pay, access wellbeing support and a Cycle to Work scheme, plus uniform provided and DBS checks as

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or food service is helpful but not required.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• High standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks
• Full training will be provided
