School Business Manager – Coventry

This role is a key permanent position from September 2026 in a highly ambitious setting. The School Business Manager will lead finance, operations, and administration, working closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders to support high‑quality education and long‑term success.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the school's finance, operations, and business functions.
• Develop and implement long‑term strategic planning, manage change, and align business activities with whole‑school priorities.
• Ensure effective communications with staff, governors, external partners, and stakeholders.
• Oversee budget management, compliance, HR, premises, procurement, and support services.
• Provide operational oversight to maintain high standards of safety and quality.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to design and maintain systems that support educational goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading finance, operations, administration, or similar roles within a school or comparable environment.
• Ability to lead long‑term planning, manage change, and align business functions with whole‑school priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience in budget management, compliance, HR, premises, procurement, or support services.
