Job summary

The Children’s Trust in Tadworth, Surrey, invites applications for a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist within the Rehabilitation Therapy Service. This 37.5-hour role delivers evidence-based therapy to children and young people, including those with feeding/swallowing needs, across the organisation.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, training and collaborating with families, schools, and clinicians to support goal-led, child-centered care.

Qualifications

• Provide high quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy for children and young people.
• Devise individual plans within a child's daily routine and monitor progress.
• Involve families and carers in therapy and transfer of skills.
• Work autonomously with delegated caseload and provide team support.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the MDT to deliver an integrated care approach.
• Attend clinics and home visits as required across the UK.
• Identify referrals needing instrumental assessment and coordinate with services.
• Contribute to reports and maintain outcome measures for allocated caseload.
• Provide staff training and contribute to audit and research activities.
• Offer clinical cover during staff shortages and work flexible hours.
