Job summary

Aspris Children’s Services seeks an experienced Specialist Speech and Language Therapist for our school-based hub in Chorley. The post involves delivering SaLT assessments and interventions for young people with autism and complex needs within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice, support holistic education and clinical services, and travel between two schools as required.

Qualifications

• Recognised and relevant Speech and Language qualification.
• Registered with HCPC.
• Relevant SaLT experience working as a Therapist, including working with the specific client group or related field.
• Experience of representing speech and language therapy in the context of multi-disciplinary working and multi-agency treatment and care.
• Experience of reviewing and developing therapy standards, policies and procedures.
• Clear and concise report writing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our young people.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic therapeutic services.
• Contribute to staff training, consultation and reflective practice.
