Job summary

West Sussex County Council is recruiting Mental Health Practitioners to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health concerns within schools.

You will deliver CBT-informed assessments and interventions, developing care packages and collaborating with families, schools, and other professionals. A PGCert supervision pathway is included, with potential supervision duties within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering CBT-based interventions for children and young people.
• Travel to assessments independently and to meet service needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding protocols and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to schools and families to coordinate right support.
• Keep clear records, case files, assessments, and data.
• Work in line with safeguarding protocols and Local Safeguarding Board guidance.
• Attend and participate in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency meetings.
