Job summary

Compass is recruiting an Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner to work within our MHST, collaborating with schools to deliver evidence-based activities for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs. You will run individual and group sessions, contribute to the Whole School Approach, and share tailored resources.

The role requires driving between community venues and education settings, strong safeguarding knowledge, and a commitment to accessible mental health

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of child development, behaviours and mental health challenges.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding legislation, confidentiality, consent, mental capacity, and data protection guidelines.
  • Confident delivering mental health advice and engaging diverse audiences with excellent communication skills.
  • Be highly organised, computer-literate, and able to thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Access to transport for commuting between community venues; education setting experience is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based mental health activities and interventions.
  • Collaborate with schools and education settings to implement the Whole School Approach.
  • Maintain accurate records to support effective decision-making.
