Job summary

Compass is recruiting a Supervising Practitioner to lead a Mental Health Support Team in schools across the UK. You will mentor EMHPs, provide clinical supervision and drive evidence-based interventions to promote pupil wellbeing.

You will hold a small caseload with young people and contribute to safeguarding, training and day-to-day guidance to your team. This role offers a signifiant opportunity to shape practice and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • EMHP with 2 years post-qualification experience required.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Supervision or equivalent therapeutic work with children/young people, or willingness to undertake.
  • Experience supervising others or supporting colleagues in leadership or mentorship role.
  • Strong knowledge of CBT-based approaches, especially in early intervention or school settings.
  • Clear, confident communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Solid safeguarding and risk management understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and reflective spaces for the team.
  • Lead, mentor and shape practice to embed high standards across the service.
  • Collaborate with schools, Team Leaders and Compass staff to drive quality and consistency.
  • Support development of group interventions and staff training.
  • Promote whole-school approaches to mental wellbeing and safeguarding.
