Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting four full-time Children & Young People’s CBT Practitioners to join the Wellbeing in Newham Schools Team (MHST). You will work within Newham CAMHS WINS, delivering CBT-based interventions in schools, assessing and intervening with children and young people.

You will collaborate with families, schools and external services to provide timely, evidence-based care and support whole-school wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must be registered EMHP (or equivalent) with relevant CAMHS experience.
• Experience delivering CBT-based interventions to children and young people.
• Ability to work with families, carers and schools in a multi-ethnic community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CBT-based interventions for mild-to-moderate mental health issues in educational settings per MHST model.
• Build and maintain links with schools, professionals, agencies and services supporting children and young people.
• Support the three core MHST functions: deliver interventions, support whole-school approaches, and advise school staff and liaise with external services.
