Job summary

We are looking for an organised, confident and professional individual who can support the school in monitoring and improving pupil attendance.

The Role

As an Attendance Officer, your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring and recording pupil attendance and punctuality
• Following up on unexplained and persistent absences
• Contacting parents and carers regarding attendance concerns
• Maintaining accurate attendance records and updating school systems
• Producing attendance reports and identifying patterns of absence
• Working closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams
• Supporting the school with strategies to improve attendance
• Ensuring all attendance procedures are followed in line with school policies
