Job summary

Lodestone House in Winchester is seeking an experienced kitchen supervisor to lead pupil and staff dining, oversee food preparation, and deliver high standards of service.

You will manage resources, monitor costs, and drive health and nutritional guidelines compliance while developing your team and delivering a range of hospitality events.

Qualifications

• Hands-on food production across pupil and staff feeding and events.
• Food innovation and development aware of current trends.
• Knowledge of health and nutritional guidelines is essential.
• Strong written and spoken English and computer skills are essential.
• Ability to motivate and develop your team.
• Great team player; good chef skills are an advantage.
• Experience with food and managing unit costs.
• Monitor costs and budgets to stay within budget.

• Ensure efficient use of resources, including stock, team and assets.

What You'll Be Doing

To organise and supervise the unit in accordance with and to the standards required by Compass Group UK & Ireland, the contract specification and statutory Regulations. To be responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the unit under their control providing a quality service. Responsible for the checking of preparation, cooking and service of food to agreed standards and specification. To ensure the efficient and economic use is made of all resources, including stock, team members and company assets.

• Food Innovation and development is essential along with being up to date with current food trends
