Job summary

New Reflexions Care Group Limited is seeking an experienced School Administrator to support the Head Teacher and staff with daily administration at Old Windebrowe School, Keswick, Cumbria. This full-time role is based on-site and will start in September 2026, with potential for term-time, job-share or part-time hours.

You will manage confidential information, oversee administration systems, budgets and safekeeping of records while supporting safeguarding and pupils’ needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in school administration.
  • Knowledge of school data and tracking systems.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential administrative support to the Head Teacher.
  • Be the first point of contact for telephone, email and visitor enquiries.
  • Maintain student and staff information using the MIS.
  • Oversee office administration and co-ordinate systems of work.
  • Monitor and track the school budget and petty cash.
  • Organise property compliance checks and maintain records.
  • Check and maintain first aid boxes and supplies.
  • Support SENCO and teachers with administration.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance bookings (MOTs, servicing, repairs).
  • Support report preparation, documentation and minute taking.
  • Oversee the school site and raise issues with the Head Teacher.

School Administrator - Full-Time, Term Time Work (Job share and part-time hours considered)

Location: Old Windebrowe School, Keswick, Cumbria

Start Date: September 2026

Old Windebrowe School are looking to recruit an experienced and highly organised School Administrator to support our Head Teacher and school staff in the day-to-day administration and running of the school. Situated in the picturesque town of Keswick, our new school will cater to children with specific learning needs, including Autism, Learning Disabilities, and associated complex needs.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a brand-new school and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an inspirational School Administrator who:

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential administrative and organisational support to the Head Teacher and school.
  • Be the first point of contact for telephone, email and visitor enquiries.
  • Maintain accurate student and staff information using the school’s management information system.
  • Oversee office administration and co-ordinate efficient systems of working.
  • Monitor and track the school budget and petty cash.
  • Organise and oversee property compliance checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Check and maintain first aid boxes and supplies.
  • Provide administration support to the SENCO and teachers.
  • Manage vehicle maintenance bookings (MOTs, servicing, repairs).
  • Support report preparation, documentation, and minute taking.
  • Maintain oversight of the school site and raise issues promptly with the Head Teacher.

Additional Information

We generally follow the Cumbria term dates, although our five INSET days may vary.
