Job summary

Outcomes First Group is recruiting an experienced Office Manager for Tilewood School in Buckinghamshire. The role leads the administration team, runs the school office and reception, and ensures efficient, compliant operations while supporting pupils, families and staff.

You will manage admissions, pupil records, safeguarding, and financial admin, coordinating events and SLT support, with a focus on a safe, welcoming school environment.

Qualifications

  • QTS/PGCE is required for this Office Manager role in a school.
  • NPQH is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience leading an administration team in education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Administration Team to provide high-quality school support.
  • Oversee everyday office and reception operations to welcome pupils and visitors.
  • Manage admissions, pupil records, staff files and safeguarding compliance.
  • Support financial admin including purchase orders and budgets.
  • Coordinate events and meetings for the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with Headteacher and Facilities Manager for smooth operations.
  • Ensure GDPR, safeguarding, health and safety compliance across admin systems.

Position: Office Manager

Location: Tilewood School, Buckinghamshire, MK18 5AN

Salary: Up to £29,500 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | Term time only

Start Date: January 2027

We're looking for a proactive, highly organised and people-focused Office Manager to join our specialist school. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our leadership support team, working closely with the Head of Service to ensure the school operates efficiently, compliantly and professionally every day. As our Office Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of school administration, lead and develop a dedicated administration team, and play a vital role in supporting staff, pupils, families and visitors. Your work will directly contribute to creating a safe, welcoming and well‑organised environment where everyone can flourish. What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead, motivate and develop the Administration Team, ensuring an efficient, high-quality support service across the school.
  • Oversee the day to day running of the school office and reception, creating a professional and welcoming experience for pupils, families and visitors.
  • Manage key administrative processes including admissions, pupil records, staff personnel files and safeguarding compliance, including the Single Central Record.
  • Support financial administration, including purchase orders, invoices, expenses, budgets and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Coordinate school events, meetings, parent evenings and provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Work collaboratively with the Headteacher, Facilities Manager and wider teams to ensure the smooth operation of the school, including premises coordination and contractor management.
  • Ensure all administrative systems, records and processes remain compliant with GDPR, safeguarding, health and safety requirements and company policies.
What You Will Bring
  • QTS/PGCE required
  • NPQH desirable
  • Previous experience in an Office Manager, School Business Support, Senior Administrator or Administration Manager role.
  • Experience managing or supervising an administration team.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and school management systems (experience of iSAMS is advantageous but not essential).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and school compliance processes, including maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience within an education or care setting is desirable but not essential.
