A secondary school in Manchester is looking for an experienced School Administrator to join its busy administration team.
This is a varied role suited to someone who already understands how a school office operates and can pick up systems and processes quickly. You will provide day-to-day administrative support, maintain accurate records and help ensure the office runs efficiently.
Administration & School Support
Provide day-to-day administrative support to staff and senior leaders.
Maintain accurate pupil and school records.
Update information on the school's MIS and other databases.
Prepare correspondence, letters, reports and documentation.
Manage filing and electronic record systems.
Assist with meetings, appointments and school events.
Support wider office requirements as needed.
Parents, Pupils & Visitors
Deal with telephone and email enquiries.
Provide a professional first point of contact for parents and visitors.
Support reception when required.
Liaise with staff and external professionals.
Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
Data & Records
Input and check information accurately.
Maintain spreadsheets, trackers and administrative records.
Assist with data collection and reporting.
Identify and correct inaccuracies where required.
Ensure records are maintained in line with school procedures.
The successful candidate must have:
Experience using a school MIS/database.
Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage a busy workload and competing priorities.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Professional communication skills when dealing with parents, pupils and staff.
Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection within a school environment.
Experience of Arbor, attendance administration or admissions would be advantageous.
