Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a School Administrator / Receptionist for a welcoming secondary school in South Manchester. The role supports front-of-house, reception duties and a busy office environment with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

You will be the first point of contact and assist with records, attendance and admissions, using MS Office tools. DBS update service is requested, and ongoing consultant support is provided.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative or receptionist role within a school setting is essential.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Contract: Full-Time, Monday - Friday

A welcoming and well-established secondary school in South Manchester is seeking an experienced School Administrator / Receptionist to join their office team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff and pupils
  • Managing incoming calls, emails and enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate pupil and staff records
  • Supporting attendance and admissions administration
  • Handling general administrative duties, including filing, data entry and correspondence
  • Assisting with school events and office operations
  • Providing efficient reception and front-of-house support
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in an administrative or receptionist role within a school setting is essential
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
