Job summary

Wiley is seeking a Content Acquisition Specialist to grow special content across our journal portfolio. You will identify topics, coordinate with Editors-in-Chief and external researchers, and use data insights to drive opportunities and visibility.

Ideal candidates will have experience in scholarly publishing, strong English communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects while building productive relationships with researchers and editors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a scholarly publishing or editorial role within STM.
• Strong research credibility or publishing/content acquisition experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and projects.
• Interest in scholarly publishing and journal development.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop special content ideas aligned to journal objectives.
• Collaborate with Editors-in-Chief, Guest Editors, publishers and internal teams.
• Use data and insights to identify topics, contributors and opportunities.
• Build relationships with researchers, editors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate multiple content acquisition projects and track progress.
• Promote journal visibility through researcher engagement and events.
• Maintain high-quality standards across content workflows.
• Collaborate on projects to improve efficiency and scalability.
