Job summary

Agincare is seeking an experienced care professional to join as an extra care Scheme Supervisor in Taunton. You’ll oversee tenant support within an Extra Care Scheme, ensuring tailored support plans and compliant care delivery.

We offer £27,500 per annum, funded training to QCF level 5, a company pension, and a refer-a-friend scheme. The role requires leadership of a care team and knowledge of CQC standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in care sector, preferably home/extra care.
• QCF diploma level 3 or above in Health & Social Care.
• Proven experience leading care assistants or a team.
• Knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day running of tenant support within an Extra Care Scheme.
• Accurate recording of incidents and review with the Registered Manager.
• Promote community spirit within the scheme among tenants and staff.
• Ensure effective rotas and training to cover care calls.

What is required from you?

• A minimum of 12 months on your right to work
• Knowledgeable of the care sector - preferably within a home care or extra care setting
• Good knowledge of the CQC key lines of enquiry and other regulatory frameworks.
• QCF diplomate at level 3 or above in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Prior experience leading and engaging a team of care assistants

A day in the life of a Scheme Supervisor

• Day to day running of tenant support within an Extra Care Scheme, ensuring a support plan is in place for every tenant which matches their individual needs and preferences and reviewing when required .
• Ensure the accurate recording of an incidents, and review these on a regular basis with the Registered Manager
• Promoting a good sense of community spirit within your scheme between both the tenants and the staff.
• Ensure effective rotas are in place with your team to allow for effective coverage of care calls, and that team members are appropriately trained to carry out their duties.
