Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking a Scene Generation software engineer to build physics-driven simulations used in weapon programmes. You will work in a small team, developing greenfield capabilities and accelerating existing software lines while engaging with stakeholders to define requirements and risks.

You’ll have opportunities to explore emerging technologies, including AI, and contribute ideas while collaborating across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

Experience with MATLAB and Simulink or Python for development.
A degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience delivering maintainable software with unit and system testing, version control, and CI/CD.
Domain knowledge in Radar/RF sensing, including SAR and range-Doppler processing.
EO/IR sensing and imaging, including atmospheric propagation modelling.
Relevant experience from work, academia, research or substantial independent projects.

Responsibilities

Develop greenfield simulation capabilities and improve existing software products.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, risks and options.
Explore emerging technologies (including AI) and contribute new ideas.
Own projects at higher grades and deliver to one or more programmes.
