Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking an experienced SCADA Test Lead for a 6-month hybrid contract in Warwick. The role leads end-to-end testing of SCADA and Real Time control systems within a power utility environment, with a preference for OSI Monarch experience.

You will work in an Agile delivery model, collaborate with Product Owners, SCADA SMEs and third-party suppliers, and use JIRA/XRAY or HP-ALM for test management.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing SCADA and Real Time control systems within power utility or electricity transmission environments.
• OSI Monarch experience strongly preferred.
• Familiar with IEC 101, IEC 104, GI74, IEC 61850, and IEEE standards.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and test management tools such as JIRA/XRAY or HP-ALM.

Responsibilities

• Lead test design and execution across SCADA systems, ensuring full test coverage and that all tests fully meet functional design requirements.
• Assure third‑party supplier testing fulfils client delivery requirements, leading defect triage and engaging the right stakeholders throughout.
• Work within Agile Scrum teams alongside the Product Owner and SCADA SMEs to ensure User Stories and test cases capture requirements fully.
• Monitor and report on test preparation and execution progress using JIRA/XRAY, managing risks and issues relating to testing activities.
• Ensure all testing follows a consistent approach, aligned to the defined Test Strategy, Test Plans, and central test tooling standards.
