Zusammenfassung

MERITUS seeks a Lead Control Systems Engineer to lead PLC, SCADA and automation projects for critical UK energy sector infrastructure. You will own technical leadership, architecture and design, guiding cross-functional teams from requirements to handover.

Role involves FAT/SAT, commissioning, risk management and mentoring engineers, with hybrid on-site work in Stone, Staffordshire. Travel to sites across the UK may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Experience delivering control systems across the full engineering lifecycle.
• Strong PLC programming experience on Schneider, Siemens and/or Rockwell platforms.
• Experience developing SCADA and HMI solutions for industrial automation.
• Knowledge of industrial communications (Modbus, OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, MQTT).
• Understanding of commissioning, FAT/SAT and system integration activities.
• Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and engineering change control.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to engage multidisciplinary teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Aufgaben

• Provide technical leadership for PLC, SCADA, HMI and automation systems across projects.
• Develop control philosophies, architectures and design specifications.
• Lead PLC software development and technical assurance on Schneider, Siemens and Rockwell platforms.
• Design and integrate SCADA/HMI solutions with alarms, trends and reports.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across control, electrical and cybersecurity groups.
• Support FAT, SAT, commissioning and handover to customers.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across the team.
