Job summary

The City of Westminster is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to maintain and improve SCADA and PLC based control systems for water and wastewater facilities. You will work with plant staff and utility teams to ensure continuous operations, reliability, and safety, including after-hours on-call coverage.

Responsibilities include programming PLCs, configuring HMI/SCADA software, troubleshooting electrical systems, and delivering clear reports for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of PLC programming and various vendor software packages used in SCADA environments.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and control equipment.
• Familiarity with radio telemetry and SCADA networking.

Responsibilities

• Program PLCs and configure SCADA/HMI systems.
• Maintain and repair water/wastewater SCADA assets and facilities.
• Develop and update HMI screens and reports.
• Troubleshoot control systems and electrical power failures.
• Prepare regulatory and process evaluation reports.
