Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineering Lead for a remote, UK-based MOD cloud programme. The role focuses on secure, automated DevSecOps across MODCloud estates (Azure, AWS, OCI) with governance and compliance at the core.

You will drive secure pipelines, IaC with Terraform, and secure access controls while coordinating across distributed teams and engineering functions. Active SC clearance is required for this project.

Qualifications

• Active SC security clearance is required.
• Remote working role with 6 months+ contract.
• Leadership experience in DevSecOps across multiple products or teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and embed DevSecOps engineering practices across MOD digital products.
• Design and govern secure CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
• Integrate security scanning, vulnerability management and compliance controls.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Work across Kubernetes / Docker / AWS EKS.
• Implement secrets and access management with Vault.
• Establish observability, monitoring, logging and audit controls.
• Develop secure-by-design engineering practices aligned to MOD security requirements.
• Coordinate DevSecOps engineers, developers, testers and infrastructure teams.
• Create and maintain security processes, technical standards and runbooks.
• Support incident response, patching, risk management and compliance activity.
