Job summary

Searchability NS&D in the United Kingdom is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to design and build secure, scalable cloud platforms for major public sector programmes.

You will lead agile teams, implement Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines, and mentor engineers while ensuring security and reliability. This role offers a hybrid work model with office and client travel, with clear career progression and access to industry certifications.

Qualifications

• SC clearance or eligible to obtain SC clearance.
• Experience designing and building secure, scalable cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and mentor engineers.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designing and improving cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Building Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Supporting container platforms using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Developing CI/CD pipelines to automate delivery and deployment.
• Improving platform monitoring, reliability and observability.
• Providing technical leadership and mentoring engineers across delivery teams.
