Job summary

fortice is seeking experienced Software Developers across career stages to work on complex digital projects for Central Government clients. You’ll contribute with Java, Spring, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), REST, and modern development practices in a hybrid UK setting.

You’ll join a passionate, skilled team delivering end-to-end solutions, from design to live service, with flexibility over working patterns and venues across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS/Azure, TDD, CI/CD, and modern software practices.
• Proficiency in REST, JavaScript, React, NodeJS, JUnit, Mockito, and DDD.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes; Jira/Confluence usage for project management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop client-side and server-side software for complex digital projects.
• Deliver agile, enterprise-scale custom software development and integration.
• Act as designers and developers on client delivery engagements.
• Specify, develop, unit test, and implement complex multi-tier applications.
• Take ownership of components and ensure they are built to standards and on time.
• Provide technical support for transitioning applications into live service.

Requirements

• We are looking for experienced Software Developers at different stages of their careers, from early career to highly experienced engineers and Tech Leads.
• We are highly interested in experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS, Azure, TDD, Pair Programming, CI/CD, Apache Camel, REST, JavaScript, React, Node, JUnit, Mockito, DDD, Docker, Kubernetes, JIRA, and Confluence.
• We work on projects for Central Government customers, so you must hold or be eligible for a mid-level of UK Security Vetting.
