Job summary

Copello Global Ltd is seeking a firmware engineer for a Gloucester-based role on mission-critical programmes. You will work on SDR, FPGA, RF and SIGINT systems in secure environments, developing OpenCPI components with C/C++ and HDL, and driving hardware/software integration.

The role requires strong VHDL/FPGA capabilities, OpenCPI experience, and knowledge of SDR/DSP/RF. A background in defence or national security is advantageous, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong VHDL and FPGA development experience.
• Experience with OpenCPI.
• Knowledge of SDR, DSP and/or RF technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop OpenCPI components using C/C++ and HDL.
• Design and optimise FPGA solutions using VHDL/Verilog.
• Integrate DSP into FPGA and embedded Linux environments.
• Support SDR, RF and SIGINT systems.
• Contribute to technical design, architecture and hardware/software integration.
• Work with customers and delivery teams in secure environments.
