Job summary

Datasource Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a team developing Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems for the military market in Essex. The role requires solid FPGA and digital hardware experience, with cross-over firmware and hardware design.

The position is on-site, with SC clearance or eligibility, and will involve DSP, FPGA, embedded systems and hardware verification across multiple programmes.

Qualifications

• Top-level digital hardware design architectures experience.
• Hands-on FPGA and SoC experience.
• DSP, microcontrollers, memory, ADCs/DACs and power supply design knowledge.
• Ability to read and write VHDL.
• Unit and subsystem level testing experience.
• Technical documentation skills.
• Strong analytical data interpretation.
• SC clearance eligible.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital hardware architectures including DSP, FPGA, microcontrollers, ADC, DAC and power supply.
• Create FPGA designs using VHDL and embedded C.
• Define, decompose and verify hardware and firmware requirements against standards.
• Perform unit and subsystem level testing for embedded firmware.
• Produce hardware and firmware design documents, test documents and simulation reports.
• Create timing and power analysis reports to support product development.
• Collaborate with embedded systems, software and electronics engineers across programmes.
• Conduct technical reviews of documents prior to release.
