Job summary

Experis is seeking an experienced AIX Engineer to join a dedicated team delivering Managed Services and project activities. You will support IBM AIX environments across Live, Development and Test, drive infra upgrades and migrations, and contribute to a major transformation programme.

The role is senior within an established AIX support team, offering hybrid working arrangements with potential out-of-hours delivery. Strong scripting and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience supporting IBM AIX 5, 6 and 7 operating systems.
• Proven experience administering VIOS (Version 2 & 3) environments.
• Experience managing IBM HMC platforms and shell scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support and maintenance for AIX server environments.
• Deliver change, upgrade, migration, and transformation activities across the estate.
• Develop and maintain UNIX shell scripts to support automation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud and service management teams.
