Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting a Saw Operator for a well-established, family-owned business in the metals and plastics industry. You will operate band and plate saws, read job instructions, and maintain quality while loading/unloading materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with regular weekly pay, full training, and potential for a permanent contract after a successful trial period.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating band saws and/or plate saws.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• FLT Counterbalance licence/experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operating band saws and plate saws safely and efficiently.
• Cutting materials to specification.
• Reading and interpreting job instructions.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Loading and unloading materials.
• General warehouse and production duties as required.
