Job summary

The Best Connection are recruiting a Saw Operator for a well-established, family-owned business in the metals and plastics industry. You will operate band and plate saws, read job instructions, and maintain quality while loading/unloading materials in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with regular weekly pay, full training, and potential for a permanent contract after a successful trial period.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating band saws and/or plate saws.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• FLT Counterbalance licence/experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Saw Operator on behalf of our client, a well-established, family-owned business with a long-standing reputation for quality, reliability and innovation within the metals and plastics industry. Our client specialises in the trade of aluminium, copper, brass, gunmetal, bronze, special alloys and plastic materials, supplying customers across a wide range of sectors.

Duties

• Operating band saws and plate saws safely and efficiently
• Cutting materials to specification
• Reading and interpreting job instructions
• Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
• Loading and unloading materials
• General warehouse and production duties as required

Requirements

• Previous experience operating band saws and/or plate saws

Pay Rate

£15.00 per hour
