Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to direct the Installation and Maintenance Team for a Military Satellite Communications contract at Oakhanger, Hampshire. You will oversee ground station infrastructure, ensuring constant, secure communications and leading skilled technical teams.

We require a strong background in systems engineering and RF networks, with a focus on safety and international security clearances. This role is on-site at Oakhanger, Hampshire, 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Systems engineering experience within Network and RF fields.
• Experience maintaining and fault diagnosing satellite comms equipment.
• Familiar with safety procedures and MS Office software.
• Good organisation and ability to prioritise with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate problem reporting and 2nd line rectification for Network Operations.
• Monitor and control satellite communications systems ensuring integrity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and support teams for delivery of services.
• Follow safety policies and ensure maintenance activities meet SOP criteria.
• Ensure planned maintenance receives appropriate approvals before work.
