Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth is seeking a proactive Team Leader to manage a team of 10-15 Electrical Engineers, RF Test Systems Engineers and Test Operations Support Engineers responsible for telecommunications and navigation satellites for commercial, government and military customers.

You will work closely with the Technical Lead to ensure delivery, quality and efficiency, develop your people and optimise production processes in a hybrid, mainly office-based environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering awareness within a manufacturing environment.
• Team Lead experience within a Manufacturing environment, producing low volume, highly complex products.
• Passionate about people management for delivery and development.
• Demonstrable practical application of delivery in the respect of Quality, Time and Cost principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide a stable and consistent environment for the Production team to deliver commitments on time.
• Review production processes and determine if Clean Room and processes are fit for purpose; propose improvements.
• Assess the skills and experience levels of team members.
• Manage payload test assets, including maintenance, calibration and long-term planning.
• Support a significant production facilities upgrade, championing team needs.
