Job summary

Talent in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Data Engineer for a major enterprise cloud transformation in Telford. You will design, build and optimize data pipelines to migrate a large SAS estate to SAS Viya 4 on AWS, collaborating with architects, platform engineers and client teams.

Responsibilities include refining ETL processes, refactoring legacy jobs, and delivering automated CI/CD pipelines with proper data governance and GDPR compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAS 9.4 and SAS Viya 3.x/4.
• Design and migrate data pipelines in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with GDPR compliance and data governance.
• Experience in consultancy or public sector projects.
• Knowledge of Denodo data virtualization.

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: migrate legacy SAS to Viya 4 on AWS.
• Integration & Refactoring: refactor legacy jobs for Viya 4.
• Automation & CI/CD: implement pipelines with Jenkins/Git.
• Data Quality & Governance: ensure compliant monitoring.
• Consultancy & Stakeholder Engagement: align with milestones and UAT.
